There is a language and a cultural component. The language component enables one to learn basic conversational skills and elemental phrases to better communicate with Spanish-speaking persons. Good pronunciation, listening and speaking skills are emphasized. The cultural component emphasizes the spirituality and faith expressions of Hispanics.

World Water Day (update with 2009 info)

The United Nations General Assembly has designated March 22 of each year as World Water Day. This observance is just one part of the UN International Decade for Action for Water for Life, 2005-2015, which focuses on key issues relevant to water like water for health, biodiversity and environment, agriculture and energy.
