Bring your Middle School youth for a weekend of service projects, faith-filled discussions, and relationship-building in small groups. FreeRide includes workshops and networking for adults, as well as opportunities to worship with Bishop Gohl. Come make new friends and renew friendships with attendees from throughout our synod! You’re invited to learn how God is speaking to and through you – to the world.
Five Easy Steps:
#1. Distribute the Individual Registration Form and the NorthBay Waiver Form to all participants. Your church’s Primary Leader will use the forms to complete the registration online. You’ll need to submit these forms when you check-in Friday, October 21. Remember to collect any Scholarship Applications now.
#2. After collecting forms from your group, the Primary Leader completes the Group Registration Summary Form.
#3. Using forms from Steps 1 and 2, register your group online.
#4. Next, your Group Registration Summary Form and any scholarship applications must be included with your non-refundable deposit of $110 per participant. Make checks out to: The Gathering Account. Deposits must be postmarked by September 22, 2015 and sent to:
c/o Karen Pugatch
575 S. Charles Street #202
Baltimore, MD 21201
Note: Scholarship Applications must be included with your non-refundable deposit payment of $100.
#5. That’s it! Once your deposit is received, the Primary Leader will receive a confirmation letter by email. Balance due on your payment for this event is due on or before FreeRide begins.
Registered congregations may need the following resources:
General Confirmation Letter (one with specific congregational information was e-mailed to each church's primary leader)
Individual Registration Form (a completed and signed form needs to be submitted on Friday evening when the group arrives)
NorthBay Release Form (required for every participant)
Personal Care Kits
FreeRide participants are asked to generously contribute to the LWR Personal Care Kits Initiative. Click here for details about what to bring with you.
FreeRide relies on a small group of adults (aged 18+) and high school students who help as the Work Crew for the weekend - serving in the kitchen and dining room to serve the event participants. Each congregation is expected to bring one person for the work crew. Click here for more information about this service opportunity. [Coming soon: Click here if you're ready to sign-up to serve on the Work Crew!]
