Grace-Filled Giving

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God that activates all of them in everyone. I Corinthians 12:4

Grace-Filled Giving is an alternative giving program of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Its objective is to provide items to people in need throughout the world.

Many times we have an occasion or opportunity for giving to another - a friend or a relative - and at the same time are faced with the dilemma of what to give. All too often the intended recipient "has everything" or "is impossible to shop for." Grace-Filled Giving provides an opportunity to select a gift, to be given in your friend's or relative's name, to a cause in true need of that gift.

How Grace-Filled Giving Works: The Grace-Filled Giving program allows you to select gifts for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, Easter, and other special occasions. At the time of purchase, you will receive an all-occasion card with an insert describing the gift. Simply purchase your gift now and save the card and insert for the occasion, then present it to your friend or relative.

Shopping: Shopping is simple.
Review the catalog. Here you will find unique gifts with prices ranging from $5 to $250. Complete the order form, available as a separate sheet. Return your completed order form and check, payable to your home church, to the place designated by your church. For each purchase, receive a card with insert describing your gift selection. Mail or give the card with the insert to family member or friend.

Sunday School classes, youth groups, men's or women's groups are encouraged to contribute to a Grace-Filled Giving project. Your gift selection together with those of other people in the Delaware-Maryland Synod (ELCA) combine to support the ministries and activities within our synod and our Companion Synods. Together we spread the joy of God's grace here and throughout the world.
