A journalist, a community artist, a law student, an engineer, 5 teachers, 3 seminarians, a nurse, 2 LVC volunteers, a youth worker, 4 Hopkins grad students, an almost pastor, an LWR employee, a computer genius, a naturalist, a youth minister, a consumer safety officer, a campus pastor, a UVA grad student, and a government employee walk into a bar. And they all have two things in common, they are young adults and they are people think that God might be doing something in their lives and therefore are connected with the Lutheran Church. We came together that one night in October in a bar in Federal Hill to get to know one another and to figure out if we wanted to get together regularly. Well, now we do just that once a month for Bible study and fellowship at a different person’s home. If you consider yourself a young adult, you’re invited. If you don’t, you’re invited to invite a young adult. We have an annual synod-wide young adult retreat - e-mail Beth (bethlynn17@yahoo.com) or Christine (cmyers@ltsp.edu) for more information. See below for opportunites to participate more regularly!
Around Baltimore
We gather monthly in a different young adult’s home around Baltimore to eat, do a Bible Study, play games, talk, and simply walk with each other.
